Welcome to the VS Guild Recruitment forum. We started loosely as a band of people that were online at the same time with members spanning from Beijing, East Coast Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and East/Central/West Coast US. This gives us a fairly unique spread of play times (usually someone online at most times ; ).

Killed Void Reaver and Solarian in TK
Killed The Lurker Below in SSC
Proved that it is possible to mispull the orcs 4 times in a row in Magtheridon's Lair resulting in horror wipes.

We've dubbed ourselves as somewhat of a 'midcore' raiding guild rather than 'hardcore', as we only formally raid twice a week. Currently, our formal raid times are:

* Friday from 7pm server (PST) to around 11p or 12 midnight
* Saturday from 7pm server (PST) to around 11p or 12 midnight

Most of our guild members are made up of working professionals or college students, and as such, we generally weight our playing times towards the weekends and weekday evenings. As mentioned above, we have a fairly wide-spread membership from a geographic perspective, so one or more of us are usually on at any given time. All of our members are relatively social and have diverse interests, so we like to save the weekday evenings for kara, heroics, arena, battlegrounds, alts, and generally relaxing and slacking-off.

We do not force people to respec for raid roles, but raid makeup will be mostly based on class needs at the time, so if you are an offspec (hemo rogue, retrib pally for example) you may get less opportunity to raid.

Raid recruiting is currently looking for the following classes:

1x Rogue (any spec)

However, feel free to post up an app even if you don't meet our class requirement. We will consider other classes if the application is exceptionally good.

Applicants will be placed on a 4 week trial period before becoming a full member, where they should take the opportunity to get to know the guild, do some runs with them etc. The only condition of this trial is that full members get first opportunity at raid loot (Karazhan and higher). If a full member doesn’t need, the applicant is free to roll or bid on the item. The trial period may be shortened at the officers discretion.

At the end of the 4 week period, the officers will vote on each applicant. A unanimous 'yes' is required to gain membership.

Note: Casual Applications

We understand people may be interested in joining VS as a casual player. If you do wish to join as a casual player, please note in the respective field of the application. Typically casuals will be friends of the guild or people with special circumstances that may make them eligible at the officers discretion.

Note that we will not insta-recruit everyone who puts in a casual app and casual apps will still be put on a trial period and expected to adhere to the VS Code of Conduct. Essentially if you don't fit in at the end of your trial period, we reserve the option to say "thanks but no thanks".

Lastly, people applying as a casual member should not expect to use this as a mechanism to get in to end game raids.
